I have always been interested in sports and fitness and have been doing Pilates for a number of years. I started doing Pilates originally because it was recommended to me by my doctor. Having suffered with backache on and off for a few years, I have really found that Pilates has helped. It has made me so much more aware of my posture and much stronger in my core muscles.
Since moving to Maidenhead in 2008 I decided to train to teach Pilates myself. I have been teaching Pilates in Maidenhead and High Wycombe since August 2009. As well as a Pilates Instructor I am also a part-time radiographer with a particular interest in MRI, CT scanning and Cardiac Imaging. But most importantly I am a mum, to my two beautiful little girls.
I have found over the years a real addiction to exercise and really enjoy the benefits for both body and mind. I love to see the progression that people make in my classes and seeing my students also getting the buzz out of exercise and learning about their bodies and their strengths. Hence the name FitBuzz!
I did Pilates throughout my pregnancy and really found it helped to keep my mind and body active and prepare me for the birth and recovery. Since my daughter’s birth, I have qualified to teach exercise to pre and post natal women. I am also qualified to teach exercise to music (aerobics etc) and as of 2015, I am also a qualified circuits instructor. See details on the class schedule for New FitBuzz Circuits Classes.
I love the combination of my two jobs and I find they compliment each other beautifully. I like to teach, fun but informative classes so my students have an increased awareness and understanding of their bodies.
Come and try out the classes and see for yourself!
